Dog clothes size by breed: which size to choose
In short: the size of dog clothes depends not on the breed but on three measurements — chest girth, back length and neck girth. The breed only tells you where to start. Below are approximate Feel with Fill sizes for popular small and medium breeds. If your dog has an unusual build (wide chest, long back, narrow waist), we will sew any model to measure.

Toy terrier and chihuahua. The smallest dogs, with a thin coat and almost no undercoat — they get cold first. Size XS, rarely S. In autumn and winter they need a warm layer: a brushed hoodie or a fleece jumpsuit, and an anorak for rain. If the chest girth is under 27 cm, choose “Custom size”.
Yorkshire terrier. Usually XS–M. A yorkie’s long coat picks up dirt and water quickly, so a jumpsuit is handy in slush, while light turtlenecks and hoodies work at home and in cool weather.
Pomeranian. The dense undercoat keeps the dog warm, so warm clothes are rarely needed. What does help is a top that protects the coat from rain and mud: an anorak or a vest. When measuring a pomeranian, do not pull the tape tight.
Maltipoo, toy poodle, cavapoo and pomapoo. Curly coat without a dense undercoat, so these dogs are comfortable in hoodies, turtlenecks and jumpsuits in the cold — and after grooming they feel cold even indoors. Toy poodles usually wear XS–S, pomapoos XS–M, maltipoos S–L, miniature poodles M–L and cavapoos M–XL. In mixes the size varies a lot, so always measure the chest. Dachshund, italian greyhound, french bulldog. These breeds have proportions that differ from standard patterns: the dachshund has a long back, the italian greyhound a deep chest and narrow waist, the french bulldog a wide chest with a short back. A standard size rarely fits perfectly, so we recommend made-to-measure — +15% to the price, 3–6 business days.
How do I choose a size if I only know the breed?
The breed gives you a starting point, but the size is decided by the chest girth. Measure the chest at its widest point behind the front legs and compare it with the chart.
What if my dog is between two sizes?
Go by the chest girth. If in doubt, choose “Custom size” and the manager will confirm the measurements after the order.
Do you make clothes for unusually built dogs?
Yes. Any Feel with Fill model can be sewn to your dog’s measurements — useful for dachshunds, italian greyhounds, french bulldogs and mixes.
How long does a made-to-measure piece take?
3–6 business days, the same as standard sizes.
