Chihuahua clothes: size and what to choose
In short: a chihuahua usually wears size XS or S (chest girth 27–36 cm). It is one of the most cold-sensitive breeds: a small body loses heat fast and short-haired chihuahuas have almost no undercoat. Clothes are not a fashion statement for them but comfort on walks from about +10 °C (50 °F) down, and in wind and rain. If your dog is very tiny (chest under 27 cm), we will sew any model to her measurements.

What to put on a chihuahua in different weather

What to pay attention to
• Weight. A chihuahua weighs 1.5–3 kg, so the piece must be light and must not restrict movement.
• Neckline. The neck is thin — a collar that is too wide will let the piece slide.
• Harness opening. Many models have an opening for a harness.
• Do not overheat. Take the clothes off indoors: a chihuahua is cold outside but overheats in a warm room.
Does a chihuahua need clothes?
Mostly yes: a small body and little undercoat mean she feels cold already at +10 °C, especially in wind and rain. Long-haired chihuahuas need warm layers less often, but clothes still protect from rain and dirt.
