Maltipoo clothes: size, winter jumpsuit and hoodies
In short: a maltipoo usually wears S–L (chest girth 30–46 cm); micro maltipoos take XS. The size depends on the chest girth, not on the generation — F1, F1b and micro dogs differ a lot. A curly coat without a dense undercoat keeps heat poorly, so in winter a maltipoo is comfortable in an insulated jumpsuit and after grooming even in a hoodie at home.

Weight is only a hint: two dogs of the same weight can take different sizes. Measure the chest girth at its widest point behind the front legs — instructions are on the size guide page. Clothes and the curly coat
A maltipoo’s coat mats easily, and friction is what creates mats. To keep the curls in shape: choose the right size (clothes must not press under the front legs), prefer smooth linings, brush the dog before and after a walk, and take the clothes off at home. A jumpsuit in slush actually helps — the belly and legs stay clean, so you wash the dog less often.
After grooming
After a short cut a maltipoo feels the cold even indoors: a hoodie or a turtleneck in soft knitwear solves this. Outdoors, add a layer — an anorak in autumn, an insulated jumpsuit in winter.

Badly fitting clothes can. A piece in the right size with a smooth lining, plus brushing before and after the walk, keeps the coat in order.

Can you sew for a maltipoo puppy?
Yes, any model can be made to measure. Puppies grow fast, so check the measurements every 2–4 weeks.
