Toy poodle clothes: size, winter jumpsuit and hoodies
In short: a toy poodle usually wears XS–S (chest girth 27–36 cm), a dwarf or miniature poodle M–L (35–46 cm). Poodle curls have almost no undercoat, so the dog gets cold in damp and frosty weather — and especially after a short “teddy” cut. In winter an insulated jumpsuit works best; at home and in cool weather, a hoodie or a turtleneck.

After a teddy cut
A short cut removes the layer that holds the heat: right after grooming a poodle can shiver even indoors. A soft knitted hoodie or a turtleneck is enough at home; outdoors add an anorak or an insulated jumpsuit depending on the season.
Clothes and curls
To avoid mats, pick the right size — the piece must not press under the front legs — brush the dog before and after the walk, and take the clothes off at home. In slush a jumpsuit keeps the belly and legs clean, so the coat needs washing less often.
