Dog clothes for boys: shirts, hoodies, bombers and jumpsuits
In short: we do not keep a separate “for boys” shelf — we keep an all-products catalogue of 131 items in which the restrained colours and the more masculine cuts sit across several categories: 9 dog shirts ($37–39), 14 dog hoodies ($38–39), 2 bombers ($45), 5 T-shirts and polos ($19–23), 12 turtlenecks, longsleeves and jumpers ($25–29), 18 vests ($32–46), 8 anoraks and raincoats ($35) and 17 items in jumpsuits and overalls ($20–79). We have been sewing since 2023 in our own workshop in Kyiv, from our own patterns. Sizes XS–XL cover a chest girth of 27–51 cm (10.6–20 in), and any model can be made to your dog’s own measurements: 15% above the price of the model, with the same lead time of 3–6 business days. Below are the actual models in dark, khaki and neutral shades, what to pick for each season, and what to do when your dog is a mixed breed that no breed table fits.
Why dog clothes for boys are about colour and cut, not a separate category
We sew the same cut in several colours, so choosing “for a boy” comes down to two things — the shade and the trim. The light line with bows and openwork sits in the Coquette classy collection — the “Fleur” and “Waffle” dresses, the linen shirts, the “Lora” T-shirt with an openwork pattern, the “Waffle” polo and the linen “Marti” trousers, all in milk-white and cream shades. The other categories — hoodies, turtlenecks, vests, anoraks, bombers, jumpsuits and flannel shirts — run in a restrained palette: black, khaki, anthracite, chocolate, burgundy, grey, taupe, cappuccino, light blue. Among the cuts, the ones that read as masculine are the collared shirt, the hooded hoodie, the bomber, the anorak, the vest and the jumpsuit. Colour does not change the price: the “Hugme” brushed hoodie is $38 in pink and $38 in khaki, so there is no premium and no saving on a “boyish” colour. Whether a dog needs clothes at all is a separate question, and we answered it in “Does my dog need clothes”.
Dog shirts for boys: linen for warm days, flannel for the shoulder seasons
A shirt is the fastest way to a masculine look, because the collar and the placket read unambiguously. The Dog shirts category holds 9 models: flannel at $37, linen at $39.
- Striped dog shirt “Sue” — $39, thin light fabric and a classic stripe; made for warm days, photo sessions and celebrations
- Light-blue linen dog shirt — $39, natural fabric that breathes; light blue looks especially good on white, cream and apricot coats
- Lemon linen dog shirt — $39, the brighter summer option
- Checked flannel dog shirt “Timeless” — $37, soft hard-wearing flannel, premium hardware, and a harness opening hidden under the branded placket
- Grey check flannel dog shirt — $37, the most versatile masculine print in the catalogue
- Yellow check flannel dog shirt — $37, a warmer-toned alternative to the grey check
Flannel is denser than linen, so the checked shirt works as a standalone layer on a cool day, while the linen one is more of a light occasion piece for warm weather. The linen shirts and “Sue” also belong to the light Coquette classy collection, although on their own they read as neutral; the most clearly masculine pieces in the category are the flannel checks. If you want to match your dog, the matching dog and owner outfits category has a set of matching flannel shirts in grey check for $87 — the dog’s shirt comes in XS–XL, the human one in One size.
Dog hoodies in dark and khaki shades: the everyday warm layer
The hoodie is the basic warm layer and one of our largest categories: 14 models in Dog hoodies, $38 for the brushed and plush versions, $39 for mink knit. For a boy there are five restrained colours of the same cut.
- Khaki brushed dog hoodie “Hugme” — $38. Khaki is a restrained city shade, practical in rain and slush, and it suits a dog of any coat colour
- Black brushed dog hoodie “Hugme” — $38. Black is the most practical for the city: dirt does not show, and light or red dogs look striking against it
- Chocolate brushed dog hoodie “Hugme” — $38
- Burgundy brushed dog hoodie “Hugme” — $38
- Light-blue brushed dog hoodie “Hugme” — $38
- Black dog hoodie “Teddy” — $38, plush fabric and a hood with sewn-on ears that snaps off on a button
- Cappuccino dog hoodie “Teddy” — $38, a soft coffee shade between beige and brown that does not show dirt
- Black mink-knit dog hoodie “Furry” — $39, a stretchy knit that goes on easily
- Chocolate mink-knit dog hoodie “Furry” — $39
The detail that matters in “Hugme” is the natural lining inside the hood and the sleeves: it hides the seams and keeps claws from catching while you dress the dog. In “Teddy” the hood snaps off, which makes the model comfortable for a dog that walks in a harness. Dark items are best washed separately before their first wash so the colour stays saturated — all the care rules are in “How to wash and care for dog clothes”.
Bombers: an outer layer that does not look like a coat
The Dog bombers category has two models, both $45: the cappuccino dog bomber jacket “Teddy” and the milk-white dog bomber jacket “Teddy”. It is a light outer layer for cool days with stainless-steel hardware; the natural knit lining prevents matting and lets the paws slide through the sleeves easily. Cappuccino is the more practical choice for a boy, since the coffee shade hides dirt, while milk white suits dry weather and photographs. A bomber works well over a turtleneck or a T-shirt; in the rain, swap it for an anorak.
Summer dog clothes for boys: T-shirts, polos and a linen duster
Summer clothing is not about warmth — it protects the coat from dust and direct sun, and, in the case of the linen duster, from ticks. The Dog T-shirts and polos category has 5 models, $19–23; the linen duster and the linen trousers sit in jumpsuits and overalls, although by purpose they are summer pieces too.
- Grey dog T-shirt “Mickey” — $23, natural cotton with a soft pattern; grey hides dirt and works on both light and dark dogs
- Milk-white dog T-shirt “Mickey” — $23, the same cut in a light shade
- Milk-white dog polo with beige accents “Waffle” — $19, the least expensive garment in the catalogue; soft cotton and a well-considered cut
- Light-blue linen dog duster — $42, 100% linen, covering the back, belly and legs; its main purpose is a barrier against ticks in spring and summer
- Linen dog trousers “Marti” — $20, a separate bottom you can pair with a T-shirt or a shirt
A T-shirt layers easily under a vest or a coat, so it stays useful through the shoulder seasons too. The accessory most often bought for boys is the bandana: Dog bandanas holds 18 models at $10–13, among them the milk-white dog bandana with a bow “Velvet” and the beige one with a bow “Velvet” at $12 with a velvet texture, plus the beige check dog bandana “Plaidy” and the light-blue one with watermelons “Melony” at $10. Bandanas are made in One size, so they are outside the XS–XL grid.
Turtlenecks and longsleeves: the layer worn indoors and under outerwear
A turtleneck warms the neck and the back, and works either on its own at home or under a vest on a walk. Dog jumpers and turtlenecks holds 12 models at $25–29. For a boy, the picks are the black dog turtleneck “Charmie” and the grey dog turtleneck “Charmie” at $27 — soft knit with a delicate pattern — plus the “Waffle” longsleeves: milk-white “Waffle” and light-blue “Waffle” at $25. The longsleeve is the cheapest warm layer after the T-shirt and the polo, which makes it a sensible starting point for a short-coated dog.
Vests and anoraks: wind, drizzle and active walks
A vest warms the back and the chest without restricting the legs, which makes it the workhorse of the shoulder seasons. Dog vests holds 18 models at $32–46.
- Black dog vest “Teddy” — $32, the lowest price in the category, in plush fabric
- Khaki fleece dog vest — $38, natural viscose lining against matting, a harness opening and premium hardware
- Anthracite fleece dog vest — $38, the same cut in dark grey
- Light-blue raincoat-fabric dog vest “Vivienne” — $45, the option for wind and light rain
- Light-blue dog puffer vest “Puffy” — $46, waterproof fabric and a filling that holds warmth even in frost
Anoraks and raincoats are a separate category of 8 models, all at $35: for a boy that means the khaki fleece dog anorak and the anthracite fleece dog anorak. The air layer in the fleece holds warmth, the water-resistant finish handles light rain, and the binding around the zip keeps fur from catching. The rest of the fleece pieces — vests, anoraks and jumpsuits — are gathered in “Fleece dog clothes”, and the full autumn list is in “Dog clothes for autumn”.
Jumpsuits, the jacket and the coat: the warmest outer layer
A jumpsuit covers the back, the belly and the legs, so it is the only layer after which the dog does not need a full wash. Dog jumpsuits and overalls holds 17 items at $20–79.
- Khaki fleece dog jumpsuit — $52, polar fleece, a zip along the back, hidden velcro to adjust the neck opening and elastic drawstrings
- Taupe fleece dog jumpsuit — $52, the same cut in a muted tone
- Khaki membrane dog jumpsuit “Heaven” — $71, water-repellent, with a removable hood and a hidden harness opening
- Grey ribbed dog jumpsuit “Four-Paws Bodysuit” — $50, two parts: a snap-fastened bomber and the jumpsuit itself, worn together or separately
- Tash ribbed dog jumpsuit “Four-Paws Bodysuit” — $50
- Light-blue dog jumpsuit “Gossip-puffer” — $79, the most expensive jumpsuit in the catalogue
The membrane “Heaven” is built for rain and wet snow, the fleece one for dry cold; “Four-Paws Bodysuit” is convenient because its bomber half can be worn on its own, so one purchase gives two looks. The Dog jackets category holds a single model, the dog jacket with decorative inserts “Brooklyn Jacket” at $52: water-repellent raincoat fabric, corduroy inserts, a natural viscose lining and an opening for the collar on the collar band. If you want maximum warmth with the quickest dressing, Dog coats has the light-blue fleece dog coat “Gossip-coat” at $66. The dog drying robe stands apart — the pistachio one is $39 and goes on after a bath or a wet walk so the dog is not lying in a damp coat. What to put on in hard frost, and how to combine layers, is set out in “Winter dog clothes”.
What to put on a boy dog in each season
The logic is simple: a closed layer in winter, a wind-stopping outer layer in the shoulder seasons, light cotton and linen in the heat.
- Spring — the “Waffle” longsleeve at $25 or the “Charmie” turtleneck at $27, plus a fleece anorak at $35; once ticks appear, the linen duster at $42
- Summer — the “Waffle” polo at $19, the “Mickey” T-shirt at $23, a linen shirt at $39, a bandana at $10–13
- Autumn — a hoodie at $38–39, a fleece vest at $38, the “Teddy” bomber at $45, and in the rain the “Brooklyn Jacket” at $52 or the membrane “Heaven” at $71
- Winter — a fleece jumpsuit at $52 or the “Gossip-puffer” at $79, the “Gossip-coat” at $66, with a turtleneck or a longsleeve underneath
The dogs that feel the cold first are those with a thin coat and almost no undercoat, along with puppies, senior dogs and recently clipped dogs — they need a warm layer earlier than the rest. A dog with a dense double coat often needs nothing at all in dry frost, but in slush a layer that keeps the coat clean still earns its place. How to build a wardrobe for a dog that is still growing is covered in “Puppy clothes”.
Clothes for small boy dogs
Small breeds usually land in XS–M. The adult chest-girth guidelines from our dog clothes size by breed page: toy terrier 24–33 cm (XS), chihuahua 25–38 cm (XS–S), Yorkshire terrier 28–40 cm (XS–M), Pomeranian 30–42 cm (S–M), toy poodle 27–36 cm (XS–S), maltipoo 30–46 cm (S–L), Jack Russell terrier 40–48 cm (L). For the smallest dogs the basics are the warm layers: a brushed hoodie at $38, a turtleneck at $27, a fleece jumpsuit at $52, and an anorak at $35 for the rain. If the chest girth is under 27 cm the standard grid no longer applies and we sew to measurements. More detail is in “Small dog clothes”, “Toy terrier clothes”, “Chihuahua clothes”, “Yorkie clothes” and “Jack Russell clothes”.
Mixed-breed and rescue dogs: measurements matter, breed does not
The question we get most often is about clothes for a mixed-breed or rescue dog, and this is exactly where a breed table stops helping: in mixes the size varies enormously, so the starting point is always the chest girth. Measure the chest at its widest point just behind the front legs, then the back length from the withers to the base of the tail, then the neck girth, and compare the three with the XS–XL grid. Breed plays no part in that calculation: if your mix measures 38 cm around the chest and 33 cm along the back, that is our size M, whoever its parents were.
What to do when the measurements do not add up to one size. This happens constantly: a broad chest on a short back, a long body on short legs, a narrow waist under a deep chest. For breeds built that way — Italian greyhound, French bulldog, pug, Welsh corgi — we recommend made-to-measure rather than a standard size ourselves. For a mixed-breed dog the rule is the same: if even one measurement falls outside the size you picked, choose the “Custom size” option on the product page. That is 15% above the price of the model and the same 3–6 business days; once the order is placed, our manager gets in touch to confirm the measurements. One caveat worth knowing in advance: items made to individual measurements cannot be exchanged or returned, so it is worth measuring twice.
Unusual models: what does not look like typical dog clothing
If you are after something less obvious, a few pieces in the catalogue have an unusual construction or an atypical material.
- “Four-Paws Bodysuit” convertible jumpsuit — $50: ribbed knit, two snap-fastened parts, with the bomber wearable apart from the jumpsuit
- Brown polka-dot dog jumpsuit “Heaven” — $71: the same membrane cut, in polka dot instead of plain khaki
- “Brooklyn Jacket” — $52: corduroy inserts on raincoat fabric
- Linen dog duster — $42: a full linen suit designed as tick protection rather than insulation
- “Furry” mink-knit hoodie — $39: a texture that appears nowhere else in the category
- Matching flannel shirts — $87: the same check for the dog and the owner
If the colour or the fabric you want is not in the catalogue, we can make a model in a non-standard colour — but such an item, like a made-to-measure one, cannot be exchanged or returned.
Sizing: chest girth, back length, neck girth
We use one grid for all our clothing, from the polo to the jumpsuit, and the key measurement in it is the chest girth.
- XS — chest girth 27–32 cm, back length 21–25 cm, neck girth up to 22 cm
- S — chest girth 31–36 cm, back length 26–30 cm, neck girth up to 26 cm
- M — chest girth 35–41 cm, back length 31–35 cm, neck girth up to 30 cm
- L — chest girth 40–46 cm, back length 36–40 cm, neck girth up to 34 cm
- XL — chest girth 45–51 cm, back length 41–45 cm, neck girth up to 38 cm
The standard grid spans a chest girth of 27–51 cm and a back length of 21–45 cm. The price is identical in all five sizes: the “Hugme” hoodie is $38 in XS and $38 in XL. If another brand’s label shows a number such as 12, 14, 16 or 18, that number is the back length in centimetres, and all of them fall below our 21 cm minimum, so a dog that size gets a made-to-measure piece. The same applies if the back is longer than 45 cm. The step-by-step measuring instructions are in “How to choose a size for your dog”.
Ordering, lead times, shipping and returns
Every piece is made to order in our Kyiv workshop: 3–6 business days from payment. If the model you want is in stock in your size, it ships sooner, and we tell you in advance if anything is likely to delay the order. International orders go worldwide with international carriers and usually take 1–2 weeks; our manager agrees the shipping cost and the payment method with you in English before dispatch, and online card payment on the site currently works with Ukrainian cards only. We do not ship to russia or belarus. A standard size can be exchanged or returned within 14 calendar days of receipt, provided the item has kept its original look, tags and packaging and shows no signs of wear or washing; return shipping is paid by the customer, the refund arrives within 5 business days after the return reaches us, and a replacement is sent within 7 business days. If the fault is ours — a manufacturing defect or the wrong item — we pay the shipping both ways. Made-to-measure items and items in a non-standard colour cannot be exchanged or returned. Full terms are in shipping and payment and exchange and returns; anything else is answered in our FAQ. If you are unsure about the size, write to info@feelwithfill.com, call +380 93 379 40 82 or message us on Instagram @feel.with.fill — the details are on the contact page, and the workshop itself is described in about us.
Does Feel with Fill have a separate category of dog clothes for boys?
There is no separate category, because the same cut is made in several colours. Look for the restrained options in Dog shirts, Dog hoodies, Dog bombers, Dog vests, Dog anoraks and Dog jumpsuits — that is where black, khaki, anthracite, chocolate, burgundy, grey and cappuccino live.
Which summer dog clothes should I choose for a boy dog?
The “Waffle” polo at $19, the “Mickey” T-shirt at $23 or a linen shirt at $39 — light cotton and linen shield the coat from dust and sun. For walks in long grass there is the linen duster at $42, designed as a barrier against ticks. As an accessory, a bandana costs $10–13.
What should a small boy dog wear in winter?
A closed layer: the khaki fleece jumpsuit at $52, or the membrane “Heaven” at $71 in wet snow, with the “Charmie” turtleneck at $27 or the “Waffle” longsleeve at $25 underneath. In dry cold a brushed “Hugme” hoodie at $38 and a fleece vest at $38 are enough.
How do I choose a size for a mixed-breed or rescue dog?
You do not need the breed, you need three measurements. Measure the chest girth behind the front legs, the back length from the withers to the base of the tail and the neck girth, then compare with the grid: XS 27–32 cm at the chest, S 31–36, M 35–41, L 40–46, XL 45–51. If the measurements do not add up to one size, choose “Custom size”.
How much does a custom size cost and how long does it take?
A custom size is 15% above the price of the model, with the same lead time of 3–6 business days. You select the “Custom size” option on the product page, and after the order our manager confirms the measurements. Such items cannot be exchanged or returned.
Is an XL piece more expensive than an XS one?
No, the price is the same in all five standard sizes. The brushed “Hugme” hoodie, for example, is $38 in XS and $38 in XL. Only a custom size costs more — 15% above the price of the model.
Which model in the catalogue has the most unusual construction?
The ribbed “Four-Paws Bodysuit” convertible jumpsuit at $50: it is built from two snap-fastened parts, a bomber and a jumpsuit, which can be worn together or separately. By material, the most atypical pieces are the mink-knit “Furry” hoodie at $39 and the linen duster at $42.
